Will be better and better over the time :). I'm doing it since 5 years, but still have to learn a LOT!

Hope we'll talk later,

best wishes!

That's seriously insane. Wicked job. Think you'll ever texture it one day?

hehe thankyou very much i'm glad you like it.
I think perhaps one day once it's finished i might hand it over to someone capable, i'm not too great at texturing in 3ds tbh, i've never really mastered uv maps and such, but i'd love to one day :)

^_^ Very much so.
You should, it'd look amazing! Have you tried any of the automatic UVing programs? I hear some of them are quite successful - might give you that extra boost on that matter.

Which programs? if i could get hold of one i'd be in heaven! although i'm unsure how it would handle 300,000 + polies :S
be nice to give it a go though.
all the nice comments are making me have another go at finishing this off now, really want to do well lol.

I actually almost lost this piece as my system drive went down a few years back, but i almost cried when i found it lol!

would love to texture it up and do some really nice renders

I've got a half complete x-wing floating around somewhere too. But I must say, your detail of the fuselage and wings is incredible.

thanks for the look =D

I'm the opposite I could say. My texturing is better than my modelling. A little trick I learned cause my models looked pretty bad when I started.

Textures are wasy enough to find on the web, just gotta find the right place in your 3d program to add them. What program do you use?

i use 3ds max mostly, i prefer to model in it i can texture to a point in cinema 4d but i prefer to model in max and the interoptability between them isn't sufficient to model in one and texture and render in the other, especially not for my high poly work
i've got litterally thousands of textures, i just don't know how to unwrap a model properly or uv map whatever it's called so as to texture it lol

it certainly did, and it still needs finishing. I'm glad you think it's movie-worthy, it has a few scale issues but i shall eventually get around to righting it and get my ass back into doing 3d again

thankyou again
